Billing & credits

Runboard has five plans. Tracking issues and connecting your own agents over MCP (Runboard Connect) works on every plan; Runboard Sandbox runs, Runboard Pods, and credit purchases require a managed-agent plan (Pro and up).

Pro runs up to 5 agents in parallel; Ultimate and Enterprise up to 10. Runboard Connect agents you run yourself are unlimited on every plan.

AI credits pay for Runboard Sandbox runs and Runboard Pod machine time, metered by real cost. Sandbox runs charge model usage plus cloud compute; Pods charge machine uptime and persistent storage. A Pod's Codex or Claude Code model usage is billed to your own subscription for that Pod. 1 credit = $0.01 of billed cost.

Paid plans include a monthly credit allotment, and you can buy credit packs on top. Included credits refresh each month; purchased credits never expire, and spending draws from your included credits first. Bigger packs include bonus credits:

When a run starts, Runboard holds an estimate against your balance so a near-empty balance can't launch work it can't pay for. When the run ends, it's charged for what it actually used. If the real cost lands above your balance, the difference is carried as a small balance owed for work already done, and the next purchase clears it.

On Settings → Billing, an admin can change plan, adjust seats, and buy credit packs, and review the credit ledger. Payment methods, invoices, and cancellation are handled through the secure customer portal linked from the page.
